The workshop will provide training in immuno-detection methods at light microscopical level. Participants will get a theoretical introduction into preparation of plant material, detection methods, microscopical techniques, interpretation of images and frequently occurring pitfalls. This part is followed by practical exercises in fixation, embedding, sectioning, labelling, and light microscopical analyses. Furthermore, an introduction into basics of fluorescence microscopy including confocal laser scanning microscopy will be given. The duration of this workshop will be 5 days.
